Karen Reichert Betts

After graduation, I worked for a couple of years and then moved to South Florida with my boyfriend where I attended Broward Community College.  

Moved to Utah in '73 where my first daughter was born in '74.  

Came back to Jacksonville when she was just four months old.

Got married and was a Navy wife for almost two decades during which time I did a lot of volunteer work and began to paint watercolors.  I also had another daughter duringthat time in '84. 

Came to Gainesville to go back to college in '93 and subsequently got a BFA in ceramics in 1999.  (Also got single in 1998.) Been here ever since.
