Glass (Williams), Gai
WILLIAMS - Mille Gai Glass Williams, 50, died May 30, 2002 in West
Palm Beach after losing her long battle with cancer. She was born and raised
in Jacksonville, before moving to South Florida. After receiving her bachelor
degree in education from the University of Florida and later her masters
from Florida Atlantic, she taught high school math throughout Palm Beach
County for over 29 years, the last 14 spent at Wellington Community High
School. Gai was very active in the teaching community, serving on numerous
committees including the Palm Beach County Council of Teachers of Mathematics
and the Florida Council of Teacher of Mathematics, as well as coordinating
the 1995 FTCM conference. She received many awards and honors during her
career. Additionally, she was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian
Church of Boynton Beach for over 25 years. Gai is survived by her loving
husband, Pat; son, Geoff (Katie) Gundlach; daughter, Ashley Williams; 3
brothers, Horace (Jody), David (Martha) and Paul Glass; Sisters by heart,
Patsy (Don) Rodgers, Debi (Louis) Everett, Cathy (Kevin) McDonald, Ruth
(David) Purdy, Peggy (Scott) Holland and Laura (Troy) Stutts; 9 nieces,
1 nephew and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral services will
be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at the First Presbyterian Church,
235 S.W. 6th Ave., Boynton Beach with Dr. M. Randall Gill officiating.
